SilenX iXtrema Pro Fans Review

Here is my review inspired by their advertising:

The ultimate "not so impressive" or "quite common" in airflow to noise ratio, iXtrema Pro Quiet Fans are the only fans in the industry to be designed with silence and optimal airflow in mind "Oh Really? I mean nobody ever thought about that?". Smaller "unreliable", domed "doomed" motor hub, larger, more dramatic "low CFM" fan blade sweep area, no other fans on the market come even close in "overly priced fans" performance!

I tried 4 different models (40mm, 80mm, 120mm and 120x38mm) and I can tell you this is false advertising.

Unless the db chart and the CFM standard has been recently revised, their advertised number are totally wrong.

Ranging from 11db! to 18db! my four fans are a bit noisy. Not too bad but I have some other silent fans to compare to and I was not impressed.

Also, their CFM rating is dangerously wrong. Monitor closely anything you want to cool down with theses fans because you cannot trust theses numbers.

If you want silent fans, look here instead:

Bottom line is: Charging 25$ for a fan with exagerated specs is risky
